Situated just outside Glasgow City Centre, our well-equipped
hospital has an excellent reputation for offering the very latest
advances in modern technology and for delivering exceptional
clinical treatment. But then, we do have quite a history of making
our mark - our site was originally established in 1874 to care for
the poor and sick of Glasgow by Miss McAlpin, who also trained
nurses here for 32 years. We are proud to carry on her dedication
to developing our people and making our hospital a stimulating and
educational place to work.
We have 32 beds, 2 Major theatres with laminar flow, 1 Minor
theatre and an on-site pharmacy. Following a refurbishment in 2001
we offer a modern work environment where we work as a team to do
what we were all trained to do - put patients first. If your
