Jay Brewer – Clinic Manager (St Albans)
I joined Nuffield in June 2008 following the completion of my
MSc. A friend of mine already worked as a Health and Wellbeing
Physiologist for Nuffield and their enthusiastic overview of
Nuffield being a progressive and dynamic organisation who put the
wellbeing of the individual first really encouraged me to apply for
the role.
I began as a mobile physiologist and although this required a
good deal of travel it allowed me to meet a huge number of
colleagues. I found that after a year I had met over 50 colleagues,
including doctors, physiotherapists and fellow physiologists and
gained a greater understanding of Nuffield as a nationwide
organisation.
Since then I have gradually progressed through the company into
my current role as a Clinic Manager. It has been a rapid and
exciting advancement, which has thrown up numerous challenges, all
of which have been rewarding in one way or another. This is one of
the reasons I enjoy Nuffield so much, because if you are willing to
raise your hand and go the extra mile you are recognised and given
opportunities to shine.
