Sales are at the heart of what we do. We believe we have a high
quality, high end health and fitness proposition which sets us
apart in our market place - the challenge is selling this
differentiated product to market.
Our centres therefore thrive on their sales teams and we recruit
for all backgrounds having sales experience within the leisure
industry will not necessarily give you an advantage. We recruit
from all walks of life, recruitment consultants, car sales people -
as long as you have strong sales experience you will be considered
a strong candidate.
The sales structure differs depending on the site so in some
centres we have a team of sales personnel heading up by a sales
manager whilst other centres have sales people who report directly
in to the general manager, and don't forget each centre is
different with each membership base being different and therefore
matching the sales persons skills to the centre is key to both the
individual and our success.
As we recruit individuals from diverse sales backgrounds we
operate a structured and intense induction programme designed to
bring a sales person up to speed as quickly as possible so that
they can start selling and earning their commission at the earliest
opportunity. In addition to the induction programme new recruits
also attend a Sales Day designed to introduce the Nuffield Health
way.
Talent management is at the hear of all that we do and so
spotting an utilising potential is key to what we do, this is why
we have strong learning and development initiatives in place to
help support our sales persons move on to the next step.
