IT

Our Group IT department is based at the New Malden office and is lead by the Chief Information Officer. The department consists of six core functions:

  • Technical Operations
  • Customer Service
  • Service Management
  • Risk & Compliance
  • Solutions
  • Development

Group IT provides application, technical and project support for all IT Systems. These systems include, but are not limited too:-

  • PACS/RIS - Radiology / Imaging
  • PIMs - Patient Information Management system
  • Lawson / Open accounts - Procurement and Finance
  • BARS and WinPath - Pathology
  • Datix - Clinical Risk
  • Club Assistant & DAS
  • Samba/Sage/VI - Health Assessment
  • TM2 - Physiotherapy Management
  • All desktops, laptops, printers and servers
  • Email, Internet based systems
  • Networking and remote access

Group IT work closely with suppliers to ensure that IT systems remain operational and available. When system failures occur it is the primary focus of the IT teams to ensure that the failed service is restored as quickly as possible and with minimum disruption to the business.  Each failure is analysed by IT and where possible actions are taken to prevent the issue occurring again.

Group IT also work within projects to deliver new systems that are required to help deliver the business strategy and maintain the technology infrastructure.
