Private Practice for Consultants
Nuffield Health is committed to further developing high
standards of clinical care and governance, helping consultants to
grow their own practice and successfully running independent
hospitals. We believe that the way to achieve success in this
way is through partnership with consultants.
Consultants wishing to be granted 'Practice Privileges' (PPs)
which will allow them to practice private medicine at one of our
hospitals are required to abide by the Nuffield Health Practice
Privilege Policy and provide standard information to their chosen
hospital according to our practice privilege criteria. All
consultants must maintain registration with the General Medical
Council (GMC) and must also appear on the Specialist Register in
the speciality in which they wish to practice.
