Pharmacy Jobs & Vacancies with Nuffield Health Careers

Pharmacy plays a central role in the care of our patients at Nuffield Health, ensuring that medicines management is embedded from pre-assessment throughout the patient journey. When you join Nuffield Health in a Pharmacy role, you'll find you become a champion for medicines management within the Hospital setting, have the opportunity to exercise your clinical knowledge and skills and enjoy the respect of your colleagues and peers.

Most of our 30 hospitals across Great Britain have an on-site pharmacy. For those without, we procure services from registered pharmacy providers across the spectrum of medicines management services from procurement, distribution, dispensing, clinical pharmacy and medicines information. Some of our pharmacies solely serve patients within the Hospital, or across two designated sites. Others serve as local community pharmacies as well, where interaction with patients and the general public is a key part of our pharmacy provision.

The Pharmacy departments in the hospitals provide the base for pharmacy staff; however the majority of activity is centred on the patient, within the hospital clinical areas for both clinical pharmacy services and stock management. As an integrated part of the  multidisciplinary team within the Hospital, our Pharmacy professionals enjoy a close working relationship with Heads of Departments, Clinicians and Consultants alike and the vital role of Medicines Management is well understood and supported by our Senior Management population.

No day is typical and varies from one day to the next - whether supporting theatre and ward staff to ensure compliance with out of licence procedures to helping Consultants and Patients, by answering queries on medicines.

As a Pharmacy Manager within Nuffield Health you're ultimately responsible for medicines management within the hospital and through the effective leadership and development of a small team of Pharmacists and Technicians, you will deliver a first class service to patients and clinicians alike. Part of the management team within the hospital you will have the opportunity to gain experience dealing with a wide range of surgical and medical specialities and work closely with Consultants.

As a Pharmacist with us, you will provide a high level of pharmacy service to our inpatient and outpatients, ensuring all the relevant clinical and professional processes are conducted when providing the prescription service. We're expanding our oncology and chemotherapy service in some of our hospitals, so if you have existing experience or would like to develop your skills in this speciality, we would be keen to hear from you.

Our Technicians provide vital support to the Pharmacist, Theatre and Ward teams by ensuring the cost effective use of medicines and managing a robust audit trail of all stock in the hospital.

If you're looking for Bank Pharmacy work with us, register as a Bank Pharmacist and you'll find a welcoming team environment, where you'll have the opportunity to learn new skills and build on your knowledge, as well as share what you know with others.

We're always on the lookout for talent but, as you can appreciate, we don't have openings in all locations, all of the time.
