Celia – Senior Health Care Assistant
"I first came to the Nuffield Hospital as a visitor. I was here
to see a friend who was being treated for breast cancer. It was a
distressing time and I was really impressed with the quality of the
hospital, the services it provided and more than anything with the
quality of care they gave the patients. I could see that they
really did go out of their way to look after my friend.
So when I heard they were recruiting, I jumped at the chance to
apply. I got the job straight away. As soon as I started my
interview, everything just clicked and I knew I would enjoy working
here. That was ten years ago and I'm as happy as when I first
started.
I've learned so much and I've been on lots of courses and
attended many workshops which has given my confidence a terrific
boost.
It's a great team spirit here. Everybody mucks in and helps one
another out. Yes it can be stressful and a bit hectic some days,
but we get things done by pulling together and we never compromise
our standards of patient care. It shows in the patient feedback
that we get.
If I had to sum it up, I would say - We're a great team
delivering the highest standards of care and the patients are
lovely!"
