An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and well organised Patient Services Coordinator to join the team at our York Hospital.
You’ll be a friendly and enthusiastic member of our Bookings team providing vital administrative support and acting in a frontline role dealing with customers. You will respond to a wide variety of customer requests, processing outpatients bookings and providing a telephone service to the general public, supporting patients to access hospital services and liaising with medical secretaries. This is a varied, frontline role delivering a highly customer focused service to all. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. Previous experience in a similar environment, together with a friendly, outgoing personality would be an added bonus.
The successful candidate will ideally have direct knowledge and experience from within the healthcare sector, additionally, knowledge of NHS or private Sector. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Self-motivation, resilience and the ability to contribute strongly within a team
Customer focused, excellent verbal communication skills and a good telephone manner
A committed individual with good listening skills, a quick learner
Flexibility to undertake additional shifts to cover annual leave and sickness.

Opened in 2004, this state-of-the-art hospital provides high levels of patient care for a comprehensive range of healthcare services. We have 40 inpatient beds, 3 operating theatres and other facilities. Our team is welcoming, friendly and highly skilled, helping us go that extra mile in delivering the best possible healthcare. Situated a short distance north of the city centre, we’re on a main bus route and also have ample free parking.
