When our members are in the best possible health, they feel better about themselves. That’s a valuable goal that we are passionate about supporting, so when you join us as a Personal Trainer, you will be a key part of that ambition. We like to do things a bit differently at Nuffield Health. And that’s why this is a Personal Training opportunity that’s quite unlike anything else you will have access to. As the UK’s leading not-for-profit healthcare provider, we know that physical and emotional health are intrinsically linked.

We want our members to achieve the level of health they want, then maintain and enhance it. And if they’re not feeling as well as they could be, we aim to help them recover and prevent the problem reoccurring. We do this through our connected health network which spans hospitals, clinics, medical centres, Fitness and Wellbeing Clubs, and specialist services including physiotherapy. And our Personal Trainers are right at the heart of this integrated model.

As a permanent employee of Nuffield Health, you won’t pay a fee to train clients at our facilities, and you’ll enjoy paid holiday time. We’ll expect you to undertake 8 hours of personal training sessions per 40-hour week, in return for a base salary. And if you want to build a client base and increase what you earn, you’ll have the freedom to do exactly that. The only limits are those you set yourself. Carrying out health MOTs, group exercises, inductions, general gym duties and personal training sessions, you’ll enjoy lots of opportunities to grow the role and your business.

Whether you’ve been training for a while or you’re recently qualified, we’ll expect you to have a minimum of REPs Level 3 or CIMSPA Practitioner. You’ll be confident, outgoing and approachable, with listening skills that match your ability to explain. Crucially, you will motivate, inspire and connect with members, making referrals to our on-site clinical specialists where necessary.

Our unique personalised approach makes a huge difference for our members and our staff too. Committed to reinvesting every penny in our services and our people, we offer industry-leading training opportunities, a great work/life balance and the chance to work in state-of-the-art facilities. And to seal the deal, we offer every employee access to our leading pension and private healthcare schemes. So you’ll have greater scope to do what you love – safe in the knowledge that your wellbeing and future are being taken care of too.

What’s more, we’re committed to your professional development, so you’ll benefit from a clear path for career progression, with unrivalled opportunities to move onwards and upwards, into Wellbeing Lead and even management roles.

Our goal is to improve the health of the nation. If that’s a passion that you share, then you’ll be the perfect addition to our visionary team.
