Clinical Lead – Anaesthetics and Recovery

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead – Anaesthetics and Recovery to join our team in Newcastle Under Lyme.

We value expertise at Nuffield Health. It’s our combination of expert knowledge, innovative thinking and passion for care that has enabled us to become Britain’s largest not for profit healthcare provider. It has also helped us to build a unique network delivering connected healthcare - from hospitals, to Fitness and Wellbeing Clubs, to specialist services including physiotherapy. Across our network, brilliant people benefit from our commitment to invest every penny in our services and people. With more time and greater scope to do what you love, the specialist in you will thrive here.

Operationally responsible for the Anaesthetics and Recovery Team, you’ll enjoy the chance to make a real difference with Nuffield Health. We’ll expect you to actively contribute to service development, policies and strategies, and identifying opportunities. You will support individuals and teams to deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Along the way, you'll build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients. Working collaboratively alongside the consultants, you’ll ensure patients benefit from the best possible treatment and care.

Registered with a relevant governing body, your specialist training includes a nursing/practitioner qualification and/or postgraduate short courses. You’ve also got impressive senior level experience in a clinical setting. Ideally, your wide ranging skills will include teaching and assessment, as well as ILS/ALS, because you’ll be fully accountable for leading, motivating and supervising a multidisciplinary team. A professional management qualification would also be an advantage, as you’ll need to be equipped for business management, budget management, business planning and development, audits and clinical governance, infection prevention, health and safety, and risk analysis.

We want you to be the best you can be. So we promise to support you with training, career development and our unique health and wellbeing focused benefits package. This includes free membership of your local Fitness and Wellbeing Club, physiotherapy services and an annual health assessment, as well as a range of lifestyle and financial wellbeing benefits.

Be your best and join us in building a healthier nation.
