Meet Paula, Multi-Site General Manager at Canary Wharf and Baltimore Wharf. Paula started with us 8 years ago as an Operations Manager, progressing into a Deputy General Manager position, General Manager, then Multi-Site General Manager.
Tell us about the team you work in?
As a Multi-Site General Manager, you are responsible and accountable for financial performance, operations and connected health proposition across both clubs, the new structure enables the General Managers.
Why did you choose to work at Nuffield Health?
I believe in the vision and ambition to support the health of the nation. Nuffield has the ability to support different stages of our life from prevention, cure and rehabilitation, which is a unique proposition in the Fitness Industry.
What’s your favourite thing about working at Nuffield Health?
The ability to support our communities with our programmes for all and seeing the outcomes in our beneficiaries. It is also important to highlight that Nuffield trusts the General Manager to take ownership of their clubs and which give us the freedom to make decision within the framework provided.
What is your career highlight/s?
There are several across the last few years however I believe that is good to highlight that I was promoted to GM when I was pregnant and that speaks volumes the company.

Started in Nuffield as Operations Manager, progressed into Deputy General Manager, General Manager and Multi-Site General Manager.
