Theatre Practitioner (Scrub)

Edinburgh Hospital | Theatres | Permanent | Full time | £43,000 per annum

37.5 hours per week (3 x 12.5 hour shifts, includes some weekend work)

As a Theatre Practitioner at Nuffield Health Edinburgh Hospital, you’ll be registered with the appropriate governing body. You have the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. You will have post-registration experience scrubbing for various cases, ideally with experience in ophthalmology and orthopaedics. You will be flexible, have excellent communication skills and be a great team worker.

As a Theatre Practitioner, you will:

- Be part of our close-knit multidisciplinary team

- Work with leading consultants and like-minded professionals who respect and value what you bring

- Enjoy a varied caseload with state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities

- Supervise, support and develop junior members of staff

- Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based

- Interact well with colleagues on the ward, understanding that continuity in patient care is key

Overtime

For clinical roles grade 9 and below, the overtime is at a standard rate of pay. For unsocial hours, you’ll be paid an additional enhancement to your salary at the following rates: Nights Hours worked between 7pm and 7am on any day of the week, 30% of basic hourly rate. Weekends Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday, 20% of basic hourly rate. Bank Holidays Hours worked between midnight and midnight of a bank holiday, 100% of basic hourly rate.
