As a Senior Staff Nurse at our Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital, you’re registered with the NMC and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management. As part of our Transhealth nursing team you will be responsible for the care and management of patients undergoing gender affirming surgery so experience in this area and or Urology are desirable.

As a Transhealth Senior Staff Nurse, you will:


· Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring

· Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be

· Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs

· Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care

· Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students

· Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training

Overtime

For clinical roles grade 9 and below, the overtime is at a standard rate of pay. For unsocial hours, you’ll be paid an additional enhancement to your salary at the following rates: Nights Hours worked between 7pm and 7am on any day of the week, 30% of basic hourly rate. Weekends Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday, 20% of basic hourly rate. Bank Holidays Hours worked between midnight and midnight of a bank holiday, 100% of basic hourly rate.

You could be asked to provide proof of vaccinations as part of our Occupational Health pre-employment screening.
