As a Senior Radiographer at our Cardiff and Vale Hospitals, you’ll have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification desirable but not essential, and high levels of technical knowledge. You will be required to work across both sites – Cardiff Bay and the Vale Hospital with equipment to include Ultrasound, DR X-ray, Multipurpose Fluoroscopy, Image Intensifiers in theatre and MRI, Mammography (if relevant)
As a Senior Radiographer, you will:
See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy
Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload – in the department, on the ward and in theatre
Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities
Carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures
Supervise and develop junior colleagues
Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion
Hours are 24 hours and can be flexible across how and when these are worked. Team operates between Mon-Fri 8am - 8pm, plus on-call responsibilities.

Help with your application.

Video interview
The video interview lasts 15-20 minutes if you get to this stage. On the day, look the part, be aware of your surroundings and practice your answers to feel prepared. Most of all, relax and be yourself.
DBS Checks
Some of our roles require a DBS check and they are processed through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) as part of the recruitment process. These checks are to assist employers in making safer recruitment decisions. However, a check is just one part of robust recruitment practice.

You could be asked to provide proof of vaccinations as part of our Occupational Health pre-employment screening.
