Nuffield Health is entering a pivotal phase of its digital transformation, with a strong focus on delivering reliable, scalable technology solutions that support exceptional patient and member experiences.

A key priority within our technology portfolio is the cloud migration of one of our hospital electronic patient record systems (EPRs) which is focused on improving the performance, resilience and operational effectiveness of a critical healthcare technology platform. This programme will ensure the EPR continues to support high-quality diagnostic services through enhanced stability, improved processes and sustainable technology delivery.

We're looking for an experienced Technology Delivery Manager, preferably with previous cloud or EPR experience, to lead this strategically important programme, overseeing delivery across multiple workstreams while aligning teams across Technology, Clinical Services, Operations, Finance and external partners.

As our Technology Delivery Manager you'll:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the EPR cloud migration programme, focusing on clear, cost-effective outcomes that improve platform stability, operational performance and user experience

  • Coordinate and align multiple internal teams and external suppliers against a shared programme vision and roadmap

  • Manage programme plans, dependencies and risks across technology, operational and supplier workstreams

  • Own delivery governance and communicate progress, risks and decisions clearly to senior stakeholders

  • Manage programme budgets, working closely with Finance to track spend and ensure strong cost control

  • Partner with Technology, Clinical and Operational teams to identify and address platform challenges, ensuring sustainable service improvements

  • Work closely with Architecture, Infrastructure and Service Management teams to support long-term platform resilience and supportability

  • Embed effective and pragmatic ways of working across delivery teams

  • Support the Head of Delivery and Lead Delivery Managers in evolving delivery standards and practices across the organisation

We're looking for a pragmatic, delivery-focused leader who thrives in complex environments involving multiple stakeholders, suppliers and operational dependencies.

To succeed as a Technology Delivery Manager you'll bring:

  • Proven experience as a Technology Delivery Manager, Programme Manager or similar role within a technology-driven environment

  • Experience delivering complex technology, infrastructure, software or business-critical platform programmes

  • Experience in cloud migration projects

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and operational teams

  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate plans, progress, risks and decisions

  • Experience managing budgets and financial tracking alongside Finance teams

  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and technology partners

  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery leadership

  • A collaborative, relationship-driven approach

  • A genuine interest in using technology to improve operational performance and service quality

Hints & Tips

Help with your application.

Once you’ve found the right role for you, you can apply online. All you need to do at this stage is submit your CV, a covering email, and a few personal details.

Our recruitment team screens all of the applications we receive. So, if they see that you’ve got the right sort of skills and experience needed for the role, your details will be passed on to the relevant hiring manager. Then, if you fit all the criteria at this stage, you’ll be invited to take part in a video, telephone or face-to-face interview.

CV

Think about the skills and qualities asked for in the job description and show how you’ve applied those same skills and qualities in other roles. Focus on the things that will make us want to see more of you.

Covering email

Your CV will contain details about why you’d be a good fit for the role, but it’s well worth adding a short, snappy paragraph pulling out the two or three most compelling reasons as to why you’d be perfect for the job in your covering email..

Video interview

The video interview lasts 15-20 minutes if you get to this stage. On the day, look the part, be aware of your surroundings and practice your answers to feel prepared. Most of all, relax and be yourself.

DBS Checks

Some of our roles require a DBS check and they are processed through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) as part of the recruitment process. These checks are to assist employers in making safer recruitment decisions. However, a check is just one part of robust recruitment practice.

Documents

You could be asked to provide proof of vaccinations as part of our Occupational Health pre-employment screening. We know it can be time consuming to get this information if you don’t already have it to hand, so we encourage you to start preparing this information to avoid any delays to the onboarding process.

Your current studies

If you are currently undertaking any strudies, education or apprenticeships, its worth noting there are some training provider we're not partnered with, and therefore potentially unable to support your continued learning. Ensure you share this at interview and for queries contact psc@nuffieldhealth.com

Feedback on applications

Due to the volume of applications we receive we are unable to provide individual feedback from an inital application.
