Salary £30,500 to £32,500 per annum dependent on experience

40 hours per week

As an Operations Manager, you’ll be a dynamic and forward thinking individual with a proven track record of achieving targets. You’ll have significant experience in a corporate fitness environment with good presentation and effective communication skills.

As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Driving high standards in a modern corporate fitness facility

  • Health and Safety compliance throughout the Fitness Centre and associated services

  • Overall accountability for ensuring attainment of Health & Safety Legislation and internal Audit requirements.

  • Ensuring site compliance with all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting

  • HR and people policies are adhered to amongst the team

  • Tracking, analysing, and reporting on operational metrics to ensure alignment with site-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Ordering gym kit and other consumables for the fitness centre

  • Lead Duty Manager of the facility, ensuring scheduling is correct, and oversight of daily repairs and maintenance.

  • Assisting promotion, retention and attraction of members at the Fitness Centre

  • Having the ability to work flexibly, including mornings/evenings and some Saturday shifts throughout the year .

The Person
To succeed as an Operations Manager you will have:

  • An operational background working in a fitness environment or a fast paced leisure operation

  • A personal drive to continually improve the environment around you for the good of others

  • A strategic mind with problem solving capabilities and risk awareness skills. 

  • Significant experience of training, with particular emphasis on Health & Safety based courses

  • An accurate approach to work, especially when working at pace or under pressure, be numerate and analytical in thinking,  and be able to identify trends, what they represent, and instigate action based on the detail.

  • A service orientated personality, one which demands the best levels of operational standards for the client and member base
