Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital | Sales and Business Development | Fixed Term (12 month Maternity Cover) | Part time

Up to £30,000 pro rata depending on experience

30 hours per week, with occasional weekend or evening work.

As a Healthcare Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and patient referrals across Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital. This joint field and office-based role focuses on developing and managing strategic relationships with healthcare professionals, including GPs, physiotherapists,consultants, corporate organisations and other key referral sources within the local healthcare economy.

You will be responsible for increasing patient referrals and revenue by promoting Nuffield Health's services, facilities, and clinical expertise, while building strong, multi-level relationships with referrers and stakeholders. Through a consultative and insight-led approach, you will identify opportunities for growth, understand customer needs and challenges, and provide valuable feedback to support service development and business improvement.

Working closely with hospital leadership, clinicians, marketing team and national account colleagues, you will deliver targeted business development initiatives, educational programmes, networking events and marketing campaigns that strengthen Nuffield Health's market presence. Using CRM systems, market intelligence, and performance analytics, you will effectively manage accounts, monitor referral trends, identify emerging opportunities, and develop strategies to maximise hospital revenue across NHS, insured and self-pay markets. You will manage the social media platforms for the hospital, promoting and celebrating the work undertaken at the hospital. You will actively plan and host engagement events for both patients and referrers, focusing on education and supporting our charitable purpose.

The successful candidate will be a confident relationship builder with strong account management, business development, and stakeholder engagement skills. They will be highly organised, commercially focused, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences while supporting Nuffield Health's mission to build a healthier nation. They will be confident managing social media accounts on various platforms and have understanding of branding requirements.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare referrers and corporate partners to generate patient referrals and revenue growth.

  • Act as the primary liaison between referrers and Nuffield Health, ensuring awareness of services, specialties and new developments.

  • Analyse referral performance, market trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities and inform business strategy.

  • Deliver educational events, seminars, GP learning programmes and stakeholder engagement activities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance customer experience, service delivery and brand awareness.

  • Support the launch and promotion of new services, facilities and treatment pathways.

  • Promote the Nuffield Health brand and values across all stakeholder interactions.
