About the Role

As a Healthcare Account Manager, you will lead and improve the efficiency and volume of patient referrals from GPs, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Ophthalmologists and Large/Medium Corporates, as well as other potential groups. This is a business development role, with accountability for delivering targeted referrals and revenue across the Nuffield Health portfolio within a wide radius of your hospital location. In addition to referrer activity, the role will also involve supporting local marketing initiatives aimed at engaging the public directly, raising awareness of Nuffield Health services, and generating inbound enquiries and self-pay business opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build effective and productive relationships with current and potential patient referral sources, with the objective of driving revenue into Nuffield Health.
  • Drive and enhance awareness amongst referrers of Nuffield Health’s hospital service lines and strategic imperatives.
  • Input into the formulation of the annual/quarterly Events Calendar, and host and/or participate in Seminars, Outreach Events and Educational Programmes for various stakeholder audiences.
  • Use analytics and insights to ensure optimal use of time and resource, on both existing and new referrers.
  • Build relationships across Nuffield Health to ensure we align our breadth of specialities for the benefit of the referring organisation
  • Enhance public awareness of the Edinburgh Hospital through the planning and execution of local marketing initiatives, including community campaigns and the management of social media content, with the aim of generating patient enquiries and supporting overall business growth

About You

  • Proven Experience in Business Development or Account Management preferably within healthcare
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and support local marketing initiatives and professional education events.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders including GPs, consultants, and corporate clients.
  • Proven success in developing commercial relationships, ideally in health, insurance, wellbeing, or professional services.
  • Experience in Creating Marketing Content for Both Print and Digital Channels.
  • A collaborative, outcome-driven mindset with a focus on excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
  • Educated to Degree level (Preferred)
