As a Trading Performance Analyst for our Hospitals & Primary Care services, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our mission by delivering actionable insights that drive performance and improve patient outcomes.

As the Trading Performance Analyst for Hospitals and Primary Care you will:

  • Monitor and analyse trading and performance data for hospitals and primary care services (Health Assessments, Physiotherapy).

  • Identify over/under-performance and advise on financial risk or opportunity.

  • Analyse KPIs such as enquiry conversion, referral-to-treatment times (RTTs), outpatient, diagnostics and surgical activity, and primary care delivery metrics.

  • Produce weekly dashboards and performance packs for operational and executive teams.

  • Translate complex datasets into actionable insights, using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau for analysis and visualisation.

  • Liaise with commercial, operational, finance, and marketing teams to explain financial performance.

  • Provide analytical input into business cases, service reviews, and improvement initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the financial performance of hospital and primary care services.

  • Your key relationships will include but not be limited to Trading, Operations, Finance, Commercial, Sales, Hospital Directors, Marketing, Digital, Business Services, Executive Team

To succeed as a Trading Performance Analyst for Hospitals and Primary Care you’ll bring:

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.

  • Desirable: Studying towards or holding a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, HFMA, BCS).

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills; proficiency in Excel (advanced functions), and experience with data query/reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI).

  • Ability to interpret large datasets and present findings to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in financial or performance analysis within healthcare (NHS or private sector).

  • Detail-oriented and data-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
