Pharmacy plays a central role in at Nuffield Health, which means you will too. Helping to ensure that medicines management is at the forefront of patient care from the early pre-assessment stages, you will focus on the whole of the patient experience as an inpatient or an outpatient. From supporting ward and theatre staff to use medicines appropriately, to helping Consultants and patients with queries about medicines – you’ll find that every day is different.

While some of our pharmacies serve only the patients within the hospital it is located within, others work across two designated sites. Pharmacy team members are primarily based within the department, but as part of our commitment to patient-centred care, you may also find yourself working within hospital clinical areas to deliver clinical pharmacy and stock management services.

You’ll find that our registered pharmacy professionals are an integrated part of the multidisciplinary team within the hospital. As such, you’ll enjoy close working relationships with Heads of Departments, nursing staff, clinicians and consultants. And you’ll benefit from an environment where the vital role of medicines management is well understood and supported by the senior management team.

About our Pharmacy Managers

As one of our Pharmacy Managers, you may take up a role as either a Pharmacist or a Pharmacy Technician, and you will be responsible for medicines management throughout the hospital. It will be your job to lead, motivate and supervise a highly dedicated team of qualified and support staff, ensuring that our patients and colleagues receive an excellent service. You will ensure that your team have the appropriate skills to carry out their roles, working within Standard Operating Procedures to meet all required organisational, regulatory and professional standards. As part of the hospital’s management team, you will enjoy valuable opportunities to work closely with consultants and gain experience across a wide range of surgical and medical specialties.

About our Pharmacists

As a Pharmacist with Nuffield Health, you’ll take up a rewarding role within our organisation – and, you’ll be a vital part of the healthcare team. In fact, we’ll rely on you to be our expert in the use of medicines. As such, you will provide a high quality service to our inpatients and outpatients, carrying out professional checks on prescribed medicines. Right now, we are expanding our Oncology and Chemotherapy services in some of our hospitals, and we’re looking for great people like you to join us. About our Pharmacy Technicians

As a Pharmacy Technician with Nuffield Health, you will take up a crucial role in supplying medicines to individual patients as well as various wards and departments throughout the hospital. You’ll bring a keen eye to procurement and stock management, ensuring that the hospital benefits from a robust audit trail of pharmaceutical stock. Show us that you’re ambitious, and we may offer you the opportunity to extend your role. In fact, we might even support your qualifications to become a Medicines Management Technician, working on the wards – or an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician, responsible for the final check of prescriptions.

About our Pharmacy Assistants

As our Pharmacy Assistant, we will look to you to provide vital support to the Pharmacy team. You will be involved in a wide range of activities, including ordering, receiving and distributing stock. You will also be responsible for dispensing prescriptions and maintaining stock levels on the wards and departments in the hospital. And very quickly, we’ll come to rely on your role in invaluable.
