Healthcare Assistants are at the heart of every Ward and Theatre. They play a huge part in the emotional and physical wellbeing of our patients – so they’re a key component in what those patients and their families think of us. It’s the reason we value our Healthcare Assistants so highly, and when you join us, you’ll get to experience just how that respect translates into unparalleled career opportunities, an exceptional work/life balance and the chance to really prove yourself in our friendly and supportive workplaces.
Whether you’re joining us for the occasional shift, or in a part-time or full-time role, you’ll find career-defining opportunities in both Ward and Theatre as a Healthcare Assistant.
If your interest lies in providing care for patients undergoing major and minor surgeries, then you will thrive in our Theatre team. Working at pace, you will need good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to show initiative in a challenging and interesting environment.
Alternatively you could join our Ward team, where you will use your organisational skills to assist patients with personal care, prepare them for surgery and care for them post-surgery. You will also take specimens, perform basic clinical observations and prepare clinical equipment under direction – all in the most state-of-the-art settings.
For both teams, you will need a flexible approach to both duties and hours, and an NVQ2 or equivalent qualification in Healthcare. Literate and numerate with good IT skills, you’ll have some experience in a theatre or clinical setting where you dealt with the public.
Wherever you join us, you will experience the uniqueness of working for a not-for-profit organisation that excels in delivering responsive connected health solutions. An ethical organisation that delivers first-in-class integrated care. A place where patients always come first. A place where you will be valued, and our friendly teams will appreciate your input.
You’ll be working alongside experts in their field. Consultants with the most comprehensive expertise. Nurses who are using cutting-edge techniques. Surgeons who have life-changing skills. They’re all keen to share that knowledge. And when you open yourself up to the opportunities we can present you with – and you cement it with our industry-leading training and development opportunities – there really is no saying what the future holds for you.
The same friendly dynamic is waiting for our Bank staff too. Supported by colleagues who are keen to welcome you into their inclusive ranks, you’ll benefit from flexible hours and benefits such as discounted gym membership and access to a pension scheme. In fact, we’re confident that once you’ve joined us for a few shifts, you won’t want to leave – so if you’d like to take up a contracted role, then we’ll be waiting with open arms.
We’re committed to building healthier futures for everyone. And you’re central to our ambitions.Apply for Healthcare Assistant roles Back to roles
