Our gyms and pools are exceptional – much like the highly-skilled people who maintain them. Using their in depth knowledge, they provide planned and responsive maintenance solutions, ensuring everything is working as it should be – and creating a much nicer experience for every member, guest and member of staff too.
Upholding our proud reputation for high-quality facilities, you will be an essential part of our ongoing fitness and wellbeing journey as you take responsibility for managing an effective preventative maintenance programme for a gym site.
This will include the whole remit of maintenance challenges – from the outer shell of the building to internal facilities and the surrounding grounds – so you’ll have plenty of variety in your working day. Ensuring that all maintenance problems and queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently, you’ll have a sharp eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and a determination to complete your duties in line with company policies and procedures.
You’ll also have the chance to flex your skills, gaining knowledge from our ongoing training and development opportunities, and maintaining your understanding of current health and safety legislation including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations and guidelines.
We value our people-centric approach. It’s the reason that we have such a solid reputation for customer satisfaction, and it’s the ethos that underpins our commitment to our staff too.
Whether you’re completing Building Services daily checklist or carrying out pool maintenance and testing, you’ll work proactively with other members of staff to deliver the highest of standards. That might mean you’ll be flagging up any health and safety concerns to the General Manager, or you’ll support the Operations Manager in the prioritisation of health and safety management. Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, you’ll do it with a smile on your face.
We strive to work like a well-oiled machine – one in which all of the components genuinely like each other. It’s this sense of camaraderie that permeates every aspect of the business. It’s what drives us to maintain our hugely successful not-for-profit connected health model in which every penny we make is reinvested in our facilities and people. And it is because of this that we create career progression paths for every employee, ensuring you have access to the best opportunities across the entirety of the business – all enhanced by free gym membership, access to our pension and private healthcare scheme and a host of other benefits.
So if you have previous experience of working in a maintenance facility role with electrical or HVAC qualifications and a 3 Day ISRM Pool Plant room qualification, you’ll find a career-defining opportunity at Nuffield Health.Apply for Maintenance roles Back to roles
